In ten days Milan will become the center of the World, during six months.
Expo Gate - Castello sforzesco (Sforza Castle)

I don't konow what do you think about it, by the way lights from all over the world will be on my city, and I am happy!
I love the idea that so many people will be here and may be they know really my city, maybe the hidden corners. And finally the grey idea of this city will fall down.

Sant'Eustorgio
Milano is beautiful, not grey and it has a lot of things to offer. And so, these are my lovely places, my advices, my ideas.

1. Parchi e giardini (Parks and gardens)

My favorite park is in via Palestro, maybe because I played as child (this is MY park). Inside the park you can find the planetarium and the museum of Natural History (child admission free - just 5 € for adult).
In front of the park you can find the PAC (Museum of contemporary Art) and the GAM (museum of modern art). And here there is one of the hidden gems of Milan "Belgiojoso Park", a park (the garden of the Real House) in which as adult you can only enter with a child (under 12), by the way try to enter here, an oasis in the middle of the town!

Antoher park that I like is one of my favorite district and it names (well.. I name) Largo Marinai d'Ialia Park (it is in Corso XXII marzo). In this park you can find the Palazzina Liberty, such a beautiful house which currently hosts events.

2. Vie (streets)
I like a lots of street in my town, but my two most lovely are:
Via Colombo

Via Colombo

 e via Abramo Lincoln

These two streets are very colorful, with two-storey villas painted in beautiful colors. While you walk here you could think to be in another city and you can recharge your mind!

Obviously you cannot lose DARSENA, the new "river runway" in Milan. And nearby there is another hidden gem: Vicolo Lavandaie, where some times ago the people went to wash clothes.
Darsena

And while you walk along the NAVIGLI, don't forgot to walk in CORSO DI PORTA TICINESE, a beautiful street - with many street art pieces - which can take you nearby to the DUOMO (in COLONNE DI SAN LORENZO).

3. Case e palazzi (houses)
Some pf the most beautiful houses in Milan are in the Porta Venezia quartier, the Liberty area. So you only have to take the underground and walk around looking above.
For me two example of this marvellous quartier are:
Casa Galimberti - Malpighi
Casa Galimberti-Malpighi  (in via Malpighi), resterei ore ad ammirare questo splendido palazzo, a bocca aperta. I spend hours lokking this house.

Casa 770
This is an hidden gem in the city. In the world there are 12 equal houses (the first one of the history is in NYC). Take a look!

4. Mezzi pubblici (public transports)
Go around in Milan is not difficult with the public transport. For whom you stay here for some days is perfect the daily ticket. It costs 4,50 € (3 single tickets) and you can go around during 24 hours (it means if you take the first transport at today at 10.00 am you can use the p.t. until 9.59 am tomorrow!).
There are some "panoramic" lines with which you can discover the city sit down: the tramway number 1 (which run in the downtown), the number 9 (ideal if you would like to go to darsena) and the bus number 61 (with run around Brera).

BIKEMI

it could be intersting to take the bike of BikeMI service. The rent for 1 day is 2,5 € and permit you to take the bike during a day. (you can use it 30 minutes, than you have to put it down, wait 5 minutes and than you can take another time!)
Many informations in the oficial web site:
